Rodeo & Julie-Ed

By Peter Skagen

Interactive Dinner Theatre and Barndance

Interactive dinner theatre and barn dance; comedy, song, dance and drama all rolled into one big hay-bale!

Shakespeare's gone Country! "Rodeo & Julie-Ed" is an irreverent melange of "Romeo and Juliet" and the infamous saga of the feud between the Hatfield and McCoy families in the Appalachians in the late 19th century.

It's the annual Wailin' Valley barndance, and the Hatfields and McCoys are jockeying for dominance at the festivities. Big Boy McCoy announces that his daughter Julie-Edwina is to be married to her kindergarten sweetheart, but it turns out that Rodeo Hatfield might have other ideas. As the evening progresses, the barndance becomes a battleground for Julie-Ed's heart and mind (and body!)

With local luminaries such as Pastor John Laurence Lyre, Looks Good in Shoes, and Wayne and the Waynettes to help stir the pot, pretty much anything could happen!
