The Annual ‘CAT Awards’ are an opportunity for the Calgary community theatre groups celebrate achievement in theatre production in the previous season.

COMMUNITY
Dewdney Players Group Theatre has a real passion for theatre.
This group of talented volunteers that you see on the stage and the ones that take care of the chaos behind the scenes that you don’t see, all invest many, many of their after work hours creating amazing productions to entertain their community. Dewdney Players Group Theatre have been proudly doing this for 35 years. The “Players” come from all walks of life, from right here in Okotoks, and the common thread they share is the love of theatre.
This group really love their community too, and strive to include a charitable component to all of their productions. Sometimes these generous donations are done with grand flare as in the case of the calendar sales for Calendar Girls, and other times with a quiet helping hand. Whatever cause the cast, crew and directors choose for each production, the donations and giving back to the community is genuine and heartfelt.
